Hello Nebinger Families!

We just received this information and wanted to share ASAP.

The School District of Philadelphia is offering all PreK-2 families the option of remaining 100% digital or transitioning to a mix of in-person and digital remote learning for students (hybrid learning). If a parent selects the hybrid learning option, their child’s schedule will be communicated in mid-November. Students will begin transitioning to hybrid learning the week of November 30, as long as COVID-19 conditions and school readiness efforts signal that it is safe to do so.

The selection period begins on Monday, October 26, and ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020. Parents can make a selection in one of two ways:

  • By Electronic Form – parents will be able to complete and submit program choice via an electronic form. They will fill out a form for each child in the household.

OR

  • By Phone – Parents of K-2 students will be able to call the school directly and inform them of their selection. Parents of PreK students can call the Office of Early Childhood Education at 215-400-6087. For Nebinger families, you have the option to reach out to our secretary directly at 215-400-8110 or send her an email mgonzalez2@philasd.org to inform us of your selection.

  • For Nebinger Families just so we get the information simultaneously with the district, I am asking you also to complete THIS SURVEY so we can begin to put a schedule together. Teachers also need this information as soon as it’s available so they can begin to plan their classroom layout, instruction, material needs etc…

It is also noted that parents can change their selection at any time within the selection window. The final selection day is Friday, October 30th at 5 p.m. If a selection is not made by October 30th, the child will remain 100% digital.  Central office will be communicating the above information to parents, as well as, informing parents that they can go to www.philasd.org/aes for videos, a selection guide, and more information to help them make the best selection for their child and family.  Families will also be able to call 215-400-5300 or email ask@philasd.org with additional questions.

Thank you so much for your patience and support as we work through these next couple of weeks to ensure a safe transition to hybrid learning.
